ALBA is the name of the new synchrotron light facility located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, near Barcelona. It is in the construction phase. ALBA is constructed and operated by the Consortium CELLS, which means Consortium for the Exploitation of the Synchrotron Light Laboratory. It is co-financed by the Spanish government and the Catalan government.
